“RED” skeleton gives a high five salute, alerting drivers to the consequences of driving too fast, expressing our Tamal Road MPH motto ALIVE at 25.
In April 2019 our beloved roadside skeleton, alerting drivers of the 25 MPH speed limit on Tamal Road, was stolen. We posted WANTED flyers on NextDoor and on the Valley List Serve. Although we were grateful for the many notes of condolences from our neighbors, the skeleton was never found.
To honor and alleviate the grief, in the place where the skeleton once sat, we placed a sign proclaiming, “May be gone, but, never forgotten.“
This morning the unexpected happened. Miracle of miracles. Thanks to a generous neighbor who never forgot, a new skeleton, he named “RED” is now in place, reminding, “no need to speed.”
